Hey n3xt writers, Nick here!

"Damn, this sucks…”
Well, you're right.
But again, what if it doesn’t have to?
AND while fixing it, you can build a true lifestyle of freedom.
Yeah, I'm talking about becoming a full-time web3 content creator and getting paid for it pretty decently.
After:
• Creating 3,000+ web3 content pieces
• Working with more than 25 brands
• Earning multiple 5-figures
Lemme be honest – I've seen it all.

So, today I'm here to share real-world experience on “making it” in Web3 SMM and content creation.

Why great web3 content is a must
A single thing you need to wrap your head around – Web3 content is the lifeblood of your brand's identity.
It does it all:
Educates the audience about your product
Builds a community around your mission
Raises awareness of your brand
Generates leads for business
However, most content out there?
It hardly serves one of these purposes.
The majority of web3 brands neglect this VITAL part.
And guess what?
That's where you come in.
Landing clients
Okay, this is probably the most requested part – straight-up strategies to land clients.
I’m not a huge lead-gen expert, but here are 3 basics you need to get right to always have a few potential clients willing to work with you.

1. Cold outreach that works
There is 0 reasons to reinvest the wheel here.
Keep it simple. Search for web3 brands on X whose content leaves much to be desired.
Drop them a DM, saying that you found a problem and you’re ready to solve it for them by offering your SMM/Content creation services.
Make your pitch direct, clear, and irresistible.
Attaching a simple line like:
“I recently helped X project with Y problem by using Z (your tactics/strategies).”
Will multiply the chances of securing a call with them.
But I do get that not everyone has this competence-proving stuff under their sleeve.
And here comes your secret weapon…
2. Pro Bono work
Yeah, you heard it right.
The best way to land the first client with 0 experience is to work for free.

Use the cold outreach method I mentioned before
Once you get your first replies, offer them a free month of work
Focus on delivering great results to create your first selling asset – case study
This approach will build your portfolio quicker than anything else.
And more importantly, it will give you much-needed confidence to deliver results.
Then, when you have a case study, it’s time to get to more advanced lead-gen strategies.
3. Inbound lead-flow
Your personal brand isn’t just an X account flooded with shitposting.
It was only when I started treating it as my public portfolio, I got my first clients.
So, don’t make the same mistakes and share some wisdom nuggets, post case studies and testimonials straight away.
Write about topics you’re genuinely interested in.
Apart from showing your competence, you need to build a cohesive brand that goes through evolution as you progress.
Here’s a good long read by Dan Koe on why you should be nicheless:
All in all, put out content that stands out, while also showing potential clients what they're missing.
This will get you a loyal audience and as hot leads as prime Margot Robbie in ‘‘Wolf of Wall Street’’ knocking at your doors.
Delivering service
A simple rule you need to nail down:
Every piece you create should be your best.
No fillers.
No buzzwords.
No tech jargon.
No 100s of emojis in the row.
No hashtags (we’re not in 2011, lol)
Just engaging content that grabs attention and serves a concrete purpose.
And please, for Christ’s sake, make complex ideas easy to understand.
If the caveman сan't get it – it's not good enough.

Pro tip: quick Ws matter
The thing is – quick wins get noticed.
They're short but powerful.
Make content that makes an impact fast.
Auto-DMs/giveaways and viral tweets are GOATs of those instant Ws.
Even something as small as profile optimization and creating a new high-converting bio and banner can go a long way.
Don’t neglect those subtle things, they make a noticeable difference in client experience.
Just take action
What are you waiting for?
You now have an exact gameplay to follow.
From someone who been there in the trenches.
So, take these tips, put them to work, and see the difference in your clients' brands and your career.
Web3 content sucks.
But what if it doesn’t have to?
