Being a Web3 Newbie = Leveling Up in a Video Game
How to enter your web3 villain arc

Feeling like you're stuck on level one in this web3 game?
Everybody seems to be dominating.
Flexing with their monthly earnings, successful trades they made, or NFTs they flipped?
And here’s you – struggling with those nagging thoughts of being a useless piece of crap.
And that's okay.
We've all been there.
And today, we're diving deep into the gaming mechanics that can make or break your web3 villain arc.
So, here's the plan that worked well for us and will turn you from a web3 newbie into a pro:
Picking your web3 avatar
Compelteing daily quests (XP grind)
Finding your web3 cheat codes
Why you feel stuck
You know when you're playing a game and can't beat that one boss?
You keep trying, but you just can't win.
Web3 is no different.
You see others getting cool rewards and moving ahead, but you're still stuck fighting stupid NPCs (you will also meet many of them in web3).
But why is it like that?
Because you don't have enough XPs, which dictate your:
Skillset
Missions/tasks you can take on
The level of difficulty you will be playing this game on
So you need to change your mentality:
From being stuck → Not being ready to move on yet
Now, with that being out of our way, let’s roll to some actionable stuff.
Picking your web3 avatar
Before you randomly start smashing buttons, you gotta pick your character.
Ask yourself, who you wanna be?
Code Wizard (web3 dev)
Content Master (web3 content creator)
Trading Knight (DeFi/Crypto/NFT trader)
Here's the thing: picking your role isn't just about what sounds cool.
It's about playing to your strengths.
You're Not Starting From Zero
Remember, you're not a blank slate.
You've got skills and experiences that can give you a head start in this game.
Ever been the go-to person for tech stuff in your family?
Maybe you're a Code Wizard in the making.
Love talking about market trends, analyzing data, and following the geopolitical situation in the world?
Sounds like a Trading Knight to us.
Enjoy writing, recording videos, and telling stories?
You might just be a Content Archer.
Your Skills Are Your Superpowers
In video games, each character has unique abilities.
The same goes for you in web3.
If you're good at coding, don't spend all your time learning trading strategies.
Stick to what you're good at and become the best at it.
Once you've picked your role and recognized your strengths, it's time to level up.
This is where the grind comes in.
How?
By doing quests or tasks related to your role.
Compelteing daily quests (XP grind)
Now, our friend, we talk.
Now, you've got some daily quests to complete – a shit tone of them, actually.
For months or even years.
That’s what it takes to win in this game.
Get the basics right
First things first, you've got to hit the books – or, you know, YouTube tutorials, podcasts, whatever you can find valuable.
The point is, you need to absorb knowledge like a sponge.
It's like collecting power-ups in a game.
You never know when you'll need them.
From theory to boss fights
Learning is great, but if you don't put that knowledge into practice, you're screwed.
Start small.
If you're a Code Wizard, hang around on GitHub and build some simple smart contracts.
If you're a Trading Knight, make some mock trades and research alpha discovery tools.
If you're a Content Archer, commit to writing one long read on X weekly or record your first TikTok video.
Those are just the examples, but you got the idea.
Join the guilds
Playing PS4 alone was cool af, but when we were playing at PS party together (Nick & Serg), those are some of our best childhood memories.
Being part of a guild or team gives you extra perks and support in any game.
The same goes for Web3.
Join online communities, X spaces, forums, or Discord channels.
Put yourself out there, and establish some connection with like-minded grinders.
Then, you can:
Share tips
Discuss strategies
Collaborate on quests (projects)
Complement each other, and have each other’s back when things go to shit.
At the end of the day, you never know how your new acquaintance can turn out in the future.
Why this matters
Daily quests might seem tedious, but they're what set you apart from the casual players.
They're your grind to greatness.
So, what's on your quest log today?
Finding your web3 cheat codes
You know what's better than banging your head against the wall trying to figure things out?
Finding someone who's already been there, done that.
Someone who knows the game inside and out.
They're like that friend who already beat the game and knows all the cheat codes.
Avoid the noob traps
The best part about having a guide?
They can help you avoid the mistakes they made.
You save time, and let's be real, a lot of heartache.
Now, if you're thinking:
"Where do I find such a guide?"
We've got something cooking that you might be interested in…
Let's just say, it involves one-on-one time with experts who've been where you are and have found the cheat codes.
Stay tuned!
