Feeling like an Impostor in web3?

That's exactly what you need to succeed.

Ever found yourself wondering:

"Can I really make it in the world of web3?"

It's a common feeling, but what if we told you that the Impostor Syndrome might be your secret weapon for success?

In this post, we're diving deep into Impostor Syndrome and why it might be your unexpected ally on your web3 journey.

Now, let’s break this down into three key stages:

Stage 1: Understanding Impostor Syndrome

Stage 2: Embracing the Growth Process

Stage 3: Thriving in web3

Stage 1: What is it, and why do we face it as beginners in web3?

Impostor Syndrome is when you doubt yourself, especially as a beginner.

It comes down to doubting your abilities, and it's common among beginners in web3.

Whenever you think you're a total fraud with no place to speak, that's the Impostor syndrome kicking in.

Nonetheless, it's natural when you're trying something new.

When you dive into web3, a whole new world, feeling like an impostor is normal.

It's like being in unfamiliar territory.

(Joke on how you’ve never been in a female 💁‍♂️)

It sucks.

But not for long, though…

Stage 2: Understand and embrace

Surprisingly, when you feel like an impostor, it can actually mean you're growing as a creator.

It's a sign you're stretching beyond your comfort zone.

To become reborn is to kill your old self.

So don’t be so fast to give up on yourself, you’re not your ex, after all.

We've been there too, speaking as people who worked as SMM and Content creators in the web3 startups with 0 experience.

The self-doubt towards your abilities – it's all part of the journey.

Even after a reasonable amount of time spent working in web3, we still felt like a fraud.

What’s the catch?

But the thing is – it didn’t bother us, since:

Our feelings and thoughts ≠ An objective reality

The only thing you need to think about constantly is your knowledge and approach to content creation.

Those will put you ahead of 99% of people in the world.

Sure, your skills aren't perfect, but they're something you have and can develop.

So why not do so?

Impostor syndrome can be a great booster for this, too.

It gives you anxiety. You hate it.

You try to get rid of it, developing your:

  • Knowledge

  • Portfolio

  • Skillset

All that to make that inner critic shut up.

Imagine the power of this routine for your future progress.

That’s when you can finally say:

“Thank you for feeling like an Impostor.”

Stage 3: Thriving in web3

Don’t overthink it, really.

Here’s all you EVER need to do to thrive in web3:

  • Reflect on your current progress

  • Be consistent with your workflow

  • Learn new things about web3 and content creation

  • Apply new knowledge into practice DAILY

  • Fail

  • Fail again

  • Succeed and get called "lucky" until you die

God, we love society, Ted Kaczynski was right.

Remember, your journey in web3 is a marathon, not a sprint.

So, how do you beat your Impostor Syndrome?

  • Embrace the discomfort.

  • Learn from it

  • Keep pushing forward.

Your success is not a matter of luck.

It's a result of your dedication and growth.

Web3 content sucks.

But what if it doesn’t have to?
