"Provide value..."

What the F*ck Does It Mean?

You've heard this a gazillion times: "Provide value."

Ash this point, it sounds like a broken record, right?

But what does it ACTUALLY mean to "provide value" in the web3 space?

Lemme break it down for you ↓

What’s value?

First off, let's address the elephant in the room.

"Value" isn't just a buzzword.

It's about giving your audience something they WON'T/DON'T/CAN'T do without your insights.

Don’t stress getting it straight away.

Let’s dive into each of those one by one.

WON’T

Sometimes, people simply WON'T do something simply because they don't realize they should.

That’s where your content can serve as an eye-opener.

“I couldn't grow my business until I started posting 2 times daily.”

Something like this may push your audience to:

  • Remember that they haven’t posted in months

  • Take their as* and finally start creating content

You're essentially giving them a reason to care about things they previously scrolled past.

DON’T

Now, DON'T is a tricky part.

This is about addressing ignorance, but not the classic one.

It's the 'I-don’t-know-what-I-don’t-know' kind.

(reread it once again and give it a second to digest.)

The thing is that your audience might not take advantage of things and position themselves for a higher chance of success, just because…

They are not aware of the existence or importance of that stuff.

And by “stuff”, I mean:

  • Overlooked trends

  • Hidden features in the apps

  • Unpopular, very niched-down websites and tools

For DON’T your content should evoke a 'how-did-I-ever-live-without-this' feeling.

CAN’T

Lastly, the CAN'T.

For this one, you give people secret sauce.

Something that you’re good at, where you had a chance to gain specific knowledge.

Usually, this info can’t be found online unless you pay a professional.

But with your philanthropic beginnings, you might wanna give out some of it for free in the form of:

  • How-to guides

  • Strategies you use for your clients

  • Some standalone elements from the tactics of your service

This works well to boost your credibility and authority in the niche.

But don’t overdo it, tho.

Because, at the end of the day, you need to preserve some secrets for your paying clients.

Web3 content sucks.
But what if it doesn’t have to?
