It's Nick here again, this time to share a little Friday story with y’all.

A story of how sacrificing quick-hitting dopamine hits leads to deep meaningful fulfilment.

Post-dunk High & Dilemma

Picture this: Friday evening after a hard working week.

Plus, I’m fresh off nailing my first-ever 10-foot dunk (yep, your boy's got hops):

So there I am, buzzing from the dunk – a moment of pure triumph.

Finally proving wrong every mf saying:

• “White men can’t jump.”

• “You not gonna dunk ever.”

• “Chill, you’re just a 5’9 dude!”

It feels damn good to hit your goal after working your ass off for 2 years in the gym, btw.

But anyway, back to yesterday’s events.

Post-dunk and sweet basketball session, the evening stretched ahead.

The options? Simple.

Option A: Kick back and watch a well-deserved movie.

Option B: Channel this post-dunk adrenaline kick into a pending ghostwriting task for my new client.

So, with Goggins’ voice screaming “they don’t know me, son!” in my head, I chose B.

The comfy couch lost out to the keyboard.

And lemme be honest – starting was a battle.

But then, the magic kicked in.

I found myself in the writing zone.

A place where time bends, and words flow – absolutely beautiful place to find yourself in as a writer.

Fast forward an hour and a half, and the job's done.

I’m re-reading the final piece – looks decent to me.

Then, I copied the TypeFully link, pasted it to the telegram chat and pressed the “Send” button.

I wasn’t expecting to receive some feedback any time soon.

But a few minutes later I got a notification on my phone.

I pulled it out of my pocket, opened the chat and saw this:

And, oh man! These words…

They hit sweeter than any movie's plot twist.

At that moment I felt f*cking ecstatic and had 0 doubts about whether I made the right choice.

So, what am I trying to say right here?

Here's the real deal, n3xt writers: choosing meaningful work over comfort can unlock a level of fulfillment that leisure can't possibly touch.

Don’t want to sound like a productivity guru, but it's REALLY about:
