THIS tweet changed my life...

Lemme tell you a story

Hey, this one is something new for my newsletter.

I want to share a story of how a single tweet really changed my life.

I still vividly remember it.

I'm on the Croatian beach...

Enjoying my first vacation in a year.

And this was a special one for me as I paid for it myself.

But I couldn't fully relax.

I had this crazy idea in my head.

An idea of leaving my 9-5.

So here I am, 19 y.o kid close to burnout after a year of working my ass off.

Instead of "taking it easy", I woke up on the first day at 8 am.

Tired, but my vision was firing me up.

I opened my laptop and bought a Cardd subscription to create my first landing page.

Then, I commuted to the beach with the clear goal of enjoying the warm and clear Adriatic sea... AND putting out my first tweet.

I didn't know what to write about.
I wasn't sure of my next steps.
I was in doubt.
I was scared.
I was lost.

So I just did. With 0 overthinking.

On the 5th of September, I put out my first-ever post.

It officially marked the start of my web3 ghostwriting career.

At the time I had a stable $800-900/month income as a web3 content writer.

BUT, there were numerous problems with that position:

  • Middleman who was underpaying me

  • No direct communication with clients

  • No clear work/life boundaries

  • 9-10 days off in a whole year

  • Low-quality web3 projects

I wasn't OK with that.

I knew I was destined for more.

So, I took a leap of faith.

And it paid off big time.

Not instantly, of course.

I started posting on X & TikTok daily.

Result?

  • 110+ vids recorded in 1.5 months

  • Hit 1k followers on X in 3 months

  • Landed my first $500 client in 3.5 months (aside from a few smaller gigs before that)

In February of 2023, 5 months after I put out my first tweet, I DID it.

I hit $2k/m with my own clients and quit my 9-5 job.

In December of 2023, I hit $5k/month.

And it's not all about the money.

It's about the fact that I'm truly fulfilled with the work I'm doing.

Creating quality content for some of the biggest projects in the space. Connecting with amazing people in the web3 space.
Working in an incredible marketing team.

AND... it's only the beginning.

Excited to free up some of my time in 2 weeks, after my final engineering exam.

And the rest will be history.

A promise to myself.

Have a nice weekend,

- Nick
