Let’s talk about something I’m hilariously bad at – sales.

As someone who only set a goal for himself for this year to get decent at this skill, I can’t boast a great understanding of:

• Psychology of sales

• Objections handling

• Closing prospects

AND YET…

Over the past 1.5 years, I closed over 10 clients for my web3 ghostwriting service.

So today, I’ll be sharing the “secret sauce” that helped do that.

Just tell the truth.

Before we started – lucky for me, most of my leads were inbound.

Meaning they’re already half-ready to be convinced when we hop on the call.

This initial interest gives me a slight edge.

But anyway, here’s where it gets good:
I ditched the sales pitch completely.

Yeah, you heard it right.

My go-to sales strategy is to tell the truth.

I keep it transparent with my prospects on:

• What I can deliver

• What is not my field of expertise

For example, a month ago, I closed a client who initially wanted me to do daily engagements.

But I told him straight away – that’s not my cup of tea.

And he was totally fine with that.

Moreover, the monthly rate we agreed on didn’t even change after we had this conversation.

So, what does this mean?

People dig your honesty.

And if you have a problem using this “secret” sales tactic, there is only one answer.

Your truth is not compelling enough.

Your results and testimonials are just not great yet.

And the best thing you can do  is go and improve them.
